CUSTOMIZING:
Personalizing the plans shown in this portfolio is encouraged for the sake of improving functional fit to an individual lifestyle. Other changes to these plans may be required by local building regulations, or to conform to the new editions to the IRC building code. The staff of G.M. TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Purchase of a plan includes two full size sets of construction-ready prints (licensed by a registered copyright seal) and includes permission to make additional “unlicensed” copies at a local printing company, for use on a single building project.
2. The plans drawn are in conformance to the International Residential Code. The particular edition in force, at the time of plan production, may be different between localities, as well as being subject to additional local requirements, soil conditions, seismic criteria, flood plains, etc. We strongly advise purchasers to consult a licensed architect or engineer as well as your local building code officials prior to beginning construction.
3. The plans published on this website are drawn with conventional concrete footings, subject to adjustments for local frost line. The purchaser may need to alter or edit the foundations to match specific site requirements, such as for a sloping site, wind loads and soil conditions.

COPYRIGHT:
The plans displayed on this website, as well as the website itself, are registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. These documents are considered intellectual property, just as the work of playwrights, musicians, lyricists, poets, etc. It is illegal to copy the plans without permission, or to use any of these published images to “recreate” a derivative work without purchasing a usage license.

These plans are available for far less than the hourly cost of their original production. Buying a plan entitles the purchaser to one-time use of it for their construction of the house “as drawn” or using it to produce a “personalized” derivative version for the one-time use. U.S. copyright laws protect the intellectual property claim of derivative works as well as the original. Liability for copyright violation extends to any and all parties involved in reproducing, redrawing, reselling, or reusing unlicensed copies of these plans.
