Tudor
Tudor style house architecture continues to have broad popular appeal for its
cozy, sturdy, secure appearance (witness the sales of the folk cottage artwork
of Thomas Kincaid). The style is loosely derived from a variety of late Medieval
English prototypes ranging from thatch-roof rural hideaways to grand manor
estates. Roofs are steeply pitched with front facing gables, often displaying
half-timber patterns in stucco or brick-veneered walls.
Plan variations of many of the houses shown on this page are available from in-house resources at G.M. Frech and Associates.
